The 5 Best Player Props for 49ers @ Browns
Shanahan vs Schwartz: Round 10
Season Record: 25-14-1
Apologies for the rough outing last week in what was decidedly our worst of the season. I had a read on what that game scripted out as, and it was not how it played out. Going 1-4 stings, especially as we were approaching a 70% hit rate on the year. Let’s get it back on track in week 13!
Inclement Ohio weather is fast approaching, the fanbase is well aware of the documented splits with QB Brock Purdy in weather games. Another much discussed storyline to this one is the matchup of 49ers head coach Kyle Shanahan and Browns defensive coordinator Jim Schwartz. Schwartz has well established ownership over the offensive phenom, going an impressive 1-8 in their first 9 meetings. Sunday is the 10th.
The 49ers will fight to maintain a hold of the 7th seed, and the Browns continued their multi decade search for a franchise QB with the second start of rookie Shedeur Sanders. This one doesn’t feel like much of an offensive showcase, especially through the air. Let’s plan our props accordingly (All bets via @DKSportsbook).
Brock Purdy O11.5 Rushing Yards (-112)
Brock has averaged 9.6 per game in 2025, but that includes games where he got injured or played injured. He sure looked like his old, mobile self last week. He tallied six carries for 16 yards against Carolina.
The Browns sport one of the more intimidating, pressure-laden defensive lines in the NFL. Myles Garrett is playing like the generational talent he is, the sack record set in his sights. There should be plenty of opportunities for Purdy to climb the pocket and utilize his escapability, especially in bad weather. If the 49ers are to win Sunday it will almost certainly involve a first down scramble or two from the franchise QB.
Quinshon Judkins 70+ Rushing Yards (-124)
The 49ers allowed six yards per carry to the Panthers and Rico Dowdle in their last outing. For whatever reason Dave Canales opted to only run Dowdle six times. Head coach Kevin Stefanski does not have that issue. He will call 20-25 Judkins runs, assuming the game script allows it. With all the injuries in the defensive box for this 49ers unit, I expect to see a very heavy dose of Judkins Sunday. There’s a chance we watch the defense get run on quite a bit in Cleveland, might as well cash a prop to soften the blow.
George Kittle U4.5 Receptions (-138)
George has never been a volume play on a good day, but with the forecast Sunday it feels like even five receptions might be a stretch. One would assume Shanahan will be more than happy to run the ball 30 times if he can, which means a ton of Kittle blocking reps. We have already seen this several times since he returned from his hamstring issue. Lots of running from both sides, lower projected play counts, tough weather to throw it, there are lots of reasons to like this one, we’re going in on it.
Christian McCaffrey O4.5 Receptions (-128)
I am so concerned with the available offensive production on Sunday that I would prefer to avoid our regular CMC receiving yardage prop. What we will go ahead and take is the over on a very modest 4.5 receptions O/U. There is a world in which yet again we see McCaffrey as the most effective way to move the ball for this 49ers offense. Considering the stout defense on the other side, there should be ample third and longer attempts as well. He’s cleared this mark eleven out of twelve games thus far, join me in picking up some free money Vegas left sitting on the ground.
Brock Purdy U198.5 Passing Yards (-113)
It feels like risky business taking a meager under on one of the more prolific passing offenses in the 2025 NFL. This is entirely a process bet, in which we want to fade Purdy in weather games. As has been the theme of this week, this feels like it will be such a grindy running affair. The Browns defense is rock solid, bordering on elite. The SF ground game feels as healthy as it has been all season. Plus the aforementioned Schwartz-Shanahan ownage. We’re gonna plug our noses and take the Brock under.
Alright everyone, best of luck this week! Let’s get this thing back on track and finish the season strong!
