The 5 Best Prop Bets for 49ers/Panthers on MNF
Know Thy Enemy
Season Betting Record: 24-10-1
All of a sudden, major stakes are on the line for the NFC matchup of the Carolina Panthers vs the San Francisco 49ers. With the Buccaneers dropping their Sunday night game against the LA Rams, the Panthers find themselves aiming for control of the NFC South. They can attain that as soon as Monday night with a win in Santa Clara. The Panthers haven’t hosted a playoff game since 2017, so the players and fans are as excited as they’ve been in years. The 49ers face an up to 30% swing in post season odds should they drop this one as well. The on field stakes are high, but we can up ‘em a little by taking some action on the game.
Here are your Week 12 49ersHub bets (via @DKSportsbook)
Panthers and 49ers Over 49.5 (-110)
This will be the second total we have taken in this segment. The 49ers defense is performing quite poorly following all the injuries endured, from pass rush, to pass coverage, to the ground game. Yards are not hard to come by against this current iteration of the team.
On the other side of the ball, Brock Purdy is back at the helm, throwing to his top weapons in George Kittle, Jauan Jennings, and Rickey Pearsall. The structure and contrast between the offense and defense of San Francisco sets up for shootouts the rest of the way in 2025. In comes Bryce Young off his record setting 448 passing yard game against the NFL best Atlanta passing D. This thing could go crazy offensively, and we’ll be along for the ride.
Bryce Young Over 207.5 Passing Yards (-111)
The aforementioned 448 yard outing last week was what we in the business call foreshadowing. Atlanta had come into Week 11 with the stingiest passing defense in the league, and Bryce tore them apart. In a game with a 49.5 O/U, against the 10th most prolific offense in the 49ers, there should be ample Panthers passing attempts Monday night. Young is not the QB Purdy is and he doesn’t have the weapons he does. Still, this prop is mispriced and we’ll take the value.
Tetairoa McMillan 6+ Receptions (+120)
Six?! We’re getting plus money on six receptions for McMillan against a very gettable 49ers secondary? Last week was the debut of the slot-centric package for T-Mac, the results were outstanding. 12 targets, 8 receptions, 130 yards and 2 touchdowns. Rookie slot receiver Upton Stout is currently the second to lowest rated slot corner in the NFL. This is my favorite bet, and value of the week.
Chuba Hubbard 15+ Rushing Yards (-117)
Alright, I know we, the NFL fandom, the fantasy community in particular, love a good storyline. Rico Dowdle taking over the Panthers backfield after posting over 400 yards in two games is a great story. And to be clear, he is their unquestioned lead running back Monday, and into the future. However, since coming back from his calf injury, former lead back Chuba Hubbard has topped 15 yards four of his five games, the one he didn’t was a 14 yarder. He’s going against a defensive box that is on its third and fourth string linebackers and missing its first and second best defensive lineman. Not to mention he should only be healthier as each week passes. This is gonna be a weird sweat, but I’ll be in it with you guys.
Rickey Pearsall Over 40.5 Yards (-114)
We are going in on a buy-low of slick Rick here, for our only 49ers prop of the game. Coming back off his PCL injury, Pearsall took 75% of the snaps, which only resulted in one target for no yards. Prior to his injury he was averaging 90 yards per game, top five in the NFL. He was also at a 90% snap rate and would have covered this for the entire first month of the season. In the wake of the news that Brandon Aiyuk voided his contract, the team needs to find out exactly what they have in the second-year wideout. I believe we see the start of that against Carolina, might as well cash in while his props are still on sale.
Good luck this week everyone. I apologize for not making this week more Niners centric. The most important thing to me is being accurate, especially when publishing picks. A big part of that is not betting like a fan. Especially when we don’t have a firm grasp of what a full go George, Jauan, and Rickey will look like together. We haven’t seen it since the first drive of Week 1. It feels like the MNF game is a sneaky banger, I wouldn’t be surprised at all if it turns out to be one of the best of Week 12. Get those tickets in!
