Three 49ers Players Who Changed The Saints Game
Mac Jones
Let’s highlight Mac Jones. The 49ers wouldn’t have pulled off this victory without his extraordinary performance. He racked up an impressive 279 yards and three touchdowns, finishing with a near-perfect quarterback rating of 113.1. Sure, he has a shaky start with a few missed throws; however, once he got into his groove, he became a real game-changer, and he’s a huge reason why the 49ers came out on top
Fred Warner
This isn’t a hot take, but Fred Warner is a beast. His contributions were crucial, especially with the big play strip and fumble recovery. He led the team with eight tackles and two quarterback pressures. He led the defense like a true all-pro, as he is. If it weren’t for Warner’s relentless effort, the 49ers would have had to take a more challenging path to victory. He deserves all the recognition for this game.
Christian McCaffrey
Then we come to Christian McCaffrey, the heartbeat of this team, who moved into second all-time with an outstanding achievement of 32 times with at least 50 rushing yards and 50 receiving yards in a game. He now trails Marshall Faulk at 41. CMC dazzled us with an incredible touchdown route, keeping the chains moving with several crucial catches. He also helped by picking up several big-time blitzes that gave Jones the pocket he needed for some big-time completions. McCaffrey is still the dominant player the 49ers wanted him to be. They will lean heavily on him until they get several key players back from injury.
These three players stepped up and delivered jaw-dropping performances that defined this game. If they keep this momentum going, the 49ers will be a nightmare for their opponents for the rest of the season.
